Just another day where a new lane opens up. Most drivers go into the new lane. I stay in the lane I am in. A driver to my left passes and shoves his way in front of me.
Clover of course will defend this driver too, insisting I had to leave the lane I was in for him.
Oh that just good stuff right there! I had another guy shoot over on me today to cross the median on the highway. I’ll post it tomorrow.
Dom, your 30% increase in mileage that you posted you could do is a joke. You say you can get a 40 mpg car up to 52 mpg traveling at the same speed? Oh, you forgot that. Speed is the major factor in gas mileage along with reducing your braking and coasting when possible. Then comes geared correctly for your roadway. Weight comes in third but is insignificant unless you reduce it by a couple hundred pounds unless you drive up a mountain every day. The last thing that would improve mileage in a modern car is a larger exhaust. You would be lucky to make your money back for the cost.
I agree with the driver somewhat. At least the guy that was accused of cutting someone off was in front when he did it. Some jerks try to cut you off from behind and think they are correct! Some jerks think the person from behind has more rights than anyone else.

I was in the lane. I was passing the vehicles to my right. The white car was behind me and to my left. Do you see any signal for intent to change lanes? No. Do you see enough space for him to pass without tailgating the vehicle in front of him in the left lane? No. Do you see enough space at any time for him to follow the two headlamps in the center mirror rule of thumb? No. He never had room to make a safe pass. Period.
You once again defend aggressive and lazy driving. You once again demand others to make way for the lazy and aggressive. No surprise. You continue to show yourself as a violent, lazy, dishonest, despicable person.
The fact is he was driving faster than you and passing you while you were still behind the other vehicle. He was driving faster than you until you saw his intentions then you had the need to cut him off. You then drove dangerously for the rest of the video. You tailgated him and the car to the right of him illegally under anyone’s interpretation of the law. Again you need to kill yourself because anyone that says that they are allowed to break laws for dangerous driving because they said someone else made a mistake belongs with a shotgun blast under their chin.

There was no green car in the same lane as me at any time. There was a black car that I was close to for a very brief moment before it went into the turn lane. Just how the timing worked out. In the video you started passing cars even before you had a lane. A lane is usually 12 to 14 feet wide or so. You did not have that much room because where you were going was not split into two lanes yet. You were also driving directly over the line separating lanes for an extended period of time. None of that is legal and also is dangerous. Tell us where you were late for that you had to both break the law and drive dangerously?
Do you take pride in showing everyone what a poor driver you are?

Again, Illinois is LINES OF TRAFFIC. There were two LINES of traffic as the lane separated into two. The vehicle formerly in front of me took a different line into the new lane. 4) At the 22 to 25 second mark you were making your own lane again by driving over the lane divider lines for an extended period of time. Illegal.
5) At the 25 second mark you were again extremely tailgating the black car. Illegal.
6) At the 25 through 27 second mark you started to make your own lane. The second turn lane marking started past the 27 second mark. There was not a full width to be driving beside another car. Illegal.

Entirely false. I stayed in the _SAME LANE_ The minivan took another line of traffic to a _NEW LANE_. There is nothing illegal about this in this state. I have cited the vehicle code for you before.

Thanks Brent, you show that you make up your own laws. As far as making up when a new lane starts, when is it? Is it when the lanes starts to widen by a few inches? Traffic signs and markings begin when you reach the sign or road marking. If you see an increased speed limit sign a half a mile ahead do you think a cop is gong to let you drive that speed as soon as you see it a half a mile away? If you see the road marking another lane a half a mile away can you start passing in the same lane as someone else is driving? Until there are lane markings on the road there are not extra lanes. If you could squeeze 3 cars in that area is it legal to do that also in your little brain?

A definition of extreme road rage might be if someone else does something wrong in your mind it is OK in the mind of someone with road rage to Stand on the horn for seconds, tailgate to within inches for 13 seconds, and so angry to make up your own laws to make it OK for the actions you do.
Was that you that was in the news a couple of days ago? A two lane interstate had one semi passing the other. The car tried passing on the shoulder. Sound familiar to your driving? Needless to say the guy crashed.

I was in the lane. They left the lane to enter a new one forming another line of traffic. Illinois permits overtaking where there is more than one line of traffic. I have already cited this portion of vehicle code for you multiple times. The restrictions on “lane sharing” as you call it are on vehicles with two wheels. Does it look like the vehicle I am operating has two wheels?
How often do you force other drivers to avoid you Clover? Why don’t you put a camera facing out your rear window so we can see?

White lines are there to show you where there are traffic lanes. Idiots make up their own definition of what a lane is.

Speed Limits
Speeding is one of the leading contributors to vehicle crashes. You may drive at the maximum allowable speed only under safe conditions.
Following Distances
Following a vehicle too closely or tailgating is the cause of most rear-end collisions. Use the three-second rule to determine a safe following distance. Select a fixed object on the road ahead such as a sign, tree or overpass. When the vehicle ahead of you passes the object, count “one-thousand-one, one-thousand-two, etc.” You should not reach the object before you count to one-thousand-three. If you do, you are following too closely. The three-second rule also applies to your speed when you are on a good road and
during good weather conditions.

BTW, notice how your cite says “following”. “following” is the key word. Since I was not “following”, was not in the same line of traffic the whole _opinion_ section is irrelevant. You will find no ‘three second rule’ in the vehicle code. In fact the vehicle code hasn’t changed in wording since the SoS had the “two second rule” in there. With this law along with the Illinois rules of the road there is not a court in the country that would not find you guilty after viewing this video. It does not matter what you feel that your definition of tailgating is. It only matters what the court would say.

Anyone that comes withing inches of other cars on a regular basis is one of the poorest drivers on earth. You more often than not cause all of the confrontations with other drivers with your poor driving that you say is lawful. When it comes down to it, it all does not matter if it is lawful or not if you drive so poorly that you endanger others and there is a good chance you will kill someone. Actually I hope that if you do injure or kill someone else on the highway that you are not killed.
