I will wait and see if enforcing //Keep Right Pass Left// becomes the norm.

It could just as easily be attributed to a cop thinking he was disrespected by the van.

    You will respect my authority!

Hey Clover, I think that cop was tailgating!
Clover thinks I tailgate…. he should see the Illinois state police. That’s a tailpipe exam!

Yes the cop was tailgating. You are right on that one and he should be ticketed. I would have given him a citizens ticket by pulling in front of the stopped car. Editor’s note: Trolling deleted.

You go do that. Come here, that’s how cops drive normally on the limited access highways. One of the funniest things I ever saw was a cop tailgating another cop when the first one hit the brakes and the second one nearly rear ended the first. (both marked cruisers)

Tolling deleted? Trolling deleted but road rage and dangerous driving are acceptable? Too funny! No, too sad a world we live in!

I would like to point out that in the area I grew up in cops would routinely tailgate teens (using unmarked cars) in an effort to cause them to accelerate away from the tailgater and thus give the teen a ticket for speeding.

It didn’t work on me because instead I changed lanes and flipped the tailgater the bird. He then changed lanes, turned on his lights, and pulled me over. He tried to lecture me about blocking the left lane (which I was not doing) and I turned around and lectured him about tailgating. He wasn’t happy but he left without giving me a ticket.

I have a 2010 Prius with 30k miles that I use for work commuting about 40 miles (60% highway, 40% city). This area has tons of potholes and construction zones and the Prius feels like its axles are coming off everytime I hit a pothole, small bump, or uneven road. This might be due to the low suspension or type of suspension/framework used. Given that the hyb […]
