Application of Clover’s rules.

SUV makes an U-turn expecting the box truck to avoid. The box truck avoids and crashes. The SUV driver takes off.
Action is in the first 45 seconds. The rest of the video appears to contain nothing of interest.

Nice!
I agree that the driver made a mistake in making the U-turn. To say he was expecting another vehicle to avoid him, where did that come from? Are you saying that the driver was a moron and was so stupid that he did not know that the driver of a big truck could not stop? You do not pull out in front of a train traveling 60 mph and expect him to stop when the train is incapable of stopping for hundreds of yards. Pulling in front of a truck of that type is the same kind of thing. My guess is the driver was half asleep and did not see the truck but a guy with road rage would say differently.
The driver applied your rules. That other drivers have to avoid. The fact that large trucks can’t stop fast shows the stupidity of your ideas. It’s also why you won’t test them yourself.
My rules say for everyone including you to drive safely. Show me where I have said otherwise. The guy that made the U-turn was wrong in this case but there is no evidence anywhere that says he was expecting someone to avoid him. My guess he never seen the truck or misjudged the speed of the truck or distance. My rules are to try to do all of those to the best of your ability.
I do have to laugh that since your posts did not get you anywhere to promote your agenda they were then removed.
Troll. You probably got insulting and violent in your language again.
Your rule is that everyone else drive such that they compensate and reward the asshats who do things like make illegal u-turns and misjudge traffic.
Brent you are the only one that everyone needs to compensate for. You are the one that is somewhere no legal driver or good driver would be.
I give up Brent. If someone does something wrong then hit them at 100 mph. That will show them.
The fact that the guy pulled out and did a u-ey comes with the implict assumption that others will avoid the SUV is the SUV driver miscalcs. After all, it was clear when he pulled out, the box truck must have been speeding. Not the SUV driver’s fault.
That’s the failure of this kind of thinking. The proximate cause of the box truck crash is the sub driving pulling a 180.
Damon the failure of this type of thinking is that you are thinking.
The tree deserved the damage so much less than the Land Rover.
At least the SUV driver is still eligible for a “good driver” discount from his insurance company, despite having been the cause of this accident. I wonder how many other accidents this driver has caused while escaping the consequences of his actions.
It’s amazing. I had a guy pull out in front of me tonight on the way home. I was going 60mph in a 55 zone. I just straight passed his ass and didn’t even get off the gas. He honked at me as I went by. Then he hurried up to speed to ride my ass. I did what I had to and slammed the shit out the brakes. I pulled over to get gas expecting him to keep going.. which he did.
